12-4-20 Someone that makes me feel nothing but enmity is my cousin because whenever we're around each other, it's nothing but good vibes. 12-9-20 I would interview Abraham Lincoln because because I'd have several questions for him. One of them would simply just be "why do you wear such a tall hat?" 12-10-20 The saying "the early bird gets the worm" means that whoever gets to wherever first, has a higher chance at success.

Final Reflection For American Literature

This semester was unlike any other courses that I've taken throughout high school. The fall of 2020 was the hardest season I have experienced in my lifetime. In the last couple weeks alone, more people have died from the Covid-19 pandemic than in the 9/11 attack and Pearl Harbor attack combined together. It seemed like the country has lost it's mind.     After all of this, you would start to think that school would fall apart. This is true because a lot of things have changed, but there was one class that stood out in my memory. In my English 3 class, my teacher threw out a challenge on the very first day of school. The students and I got to choose how we wanted the course to run. From that point on, we had the opportunity to make choices and commitments that would define our learning for the rest of the semester.       This semester was unlike any other because never did we ever write daily journals or have such easy homework. Although some of it could be very overwhelming

11-30-20 "Anyone who has never made a mistake, has never tried anything" makes me think about myself because it's common sense that if no one has ever made a mistake in life, then they've never done anything challenging. 12-1-20 What influences me more is my relationship with others because it motivates me to do the best that I can for my family. 12-2-20 Someone I consider to be my hero is my dad because he's always been there for me whenever I needed him and he's taught me so much that there is to know, whether it's sports or just the simple things in life.

Fahrenheit 451 Essay

Before Montag meets Clarisse, his sixteen-year old neighbor, he's much like a robot who just burns books. The only things he does is go to work, deals with his suicidal wife, and has his own world of technology where watching Tv is all he does at home but he never really notices what he is actually doing. Clarisse gets him out of his "world" and makes him see all the good in life that's around him. Even though she does all of this indirectly, she inspires him to take big steps.     Like a novelist, Clarisse is aware of the world that she lives in. In conversations with Montag, she shows him how she observes society, loves nature, and reflects off of what she sees. She shares her insights with people while expressing wonderment at the way people talk to each other without actually talking about something meaningful. She shares metaphors comparing the rain to wine and fallen leaves to cinnamon. She displays curiosity about other people's motivations and lives a

Literature Analysis

The plot of The Outsiders is a teen gang also known as the Greasers that lives in the beat up part of Oklahoma. The Greasers who are poor have a rival who are known as The Socials who are very wealthy. Greasers Ponyboy and Johnny get into a fight that ends with a Social dying, after that, the boys are forced to go into hiding. The themes in The Outsiders was a gap between the rich and poor, violence, and honor. I imagine the authors morning routine as getting up early, drinking coffee, meditating, eating breakfast, something light, not too heavy. The author uses alliteration, foreshadowing, hyperboles, irony, personification, similes, and metaphors in the novel. When it comes down to the novel, S.E. Hinton uses a large variety of figurative language.

10-13-20 I think we do less of the things that we used to do when we were younger because we are more mature now and perhaps we just find those things boring. Especially with the technology that we have nowadays, most kids/teens choose to be on their devices rather than going outside to play with their friends. 10-23-20 An important decision I had to make was whether I wanted to keep playing basketball or football. I chose to continue playing football because most of my friends were playing football and in my opinion, it's more of a fun sport then basketball. 11-18-20 First impressions are important because most people are only going to meet you one time and remember you for a certain reason.
